    Joey Escobar

    Joey Escobar comes from a family of fighters. He started his boxing training as a young boy with his father, Peter Escobar, a professional boxer.At age 8, he began training in Tang Soo Do under Chuck Norris alongside his sister Kathy. They both went on to become successful black belt tournament competitors. Joey's professional fighting career spanned several decades, earning him numerous championship titles. He opened his first martial arts studio in the 1980s and has been teaching martial arts and boxing to children and adults ever since.In 2015, Joey came out of retirement to compete at the World Championships in Las Vegas, where he won three divisions (30s, 40s, and 50s). His son, Cory Escobar, has followed in his footsteps and now owns Escobar Training Grounds in Lake Tahoe.
